Visit to Genting Highlands 2012

Hi guys! Long time no posting! So anyways, Master and Kai Zhi's PMR exams are over, and they can finally relax for the rest of the year!!! The year-end school holidays are finally here and students can finally take a break, and waste their precious time on the internet!

So yeah, time passes really really fast! It's as if we just came back from China last year! Oh, wait... it IS last year. So anyway, we visited Genting Highlands once again just this Monday along with Mama, Master, Kai Zhi, and Kai Min. And, I well... I can't say it's an enjoyable trip, but oh well, at least we had fun!

On Monday morning, we woke up, had breakfast, and Dad sent us up to the Genting Skyway cable car station, then Mama bought our tickets, and we waited for Kai Zhi and Kai Min to arrive. They live just below the mountain, so for them, it should take about a 15 minutes drive uphill to the station. Whereas for us, it was roughly a 45 minutes drive.

Once we've arrived at the station, we went aboard the cable car, and took a 20 minutes ride up the mountain to Genting Highlands! We walked all the way from the Highlands Hotel, which is where the cable car station is, to First World Plaza, which is where all the fun is!

Once at First World Plaza, Mama bought the One Day All Park Unlimited Ride pass for us and we proceed to the theme park's entrance. Mama did not go, she was taking care of our luggage and waited at the hotel lobby to check-in.

At first we wanted to queue for the 4D Motion Master, but because the caretakers say that we have to queue for around 2 hours, we decided to go for other rides first.

So firstly, we went and queued for the Spinner. Unfortunately, bags were not allowed on the ride, and since Zoe and I were inside of Master's bag, we had to be left on the ground.

Then, we went for the Go-kart. It was quite a long queue because many people wanted to play that. Bags were again, not allowed on the Go-Kart. While queuing, we have seen several accidents caused by people before us. Mostly of which, were caused by women.

After that, we went for the extraordinary and extremely terrifying Flying Coaster! Unfortunately, bags were also not allowed on the ride. Master says it was a little terrifying whereas Kai Zhi screamed like a girl for the entire ride.

Master then went to queue for the Bumper Boat, the ride in which Master had ever got the chance to ride before. Kai Zhi and Kai Min refused to queue because apparently, they were too lazy to queue. Even if they did, I doubt they'd made it pass the weighing since the maximum is 75kg. And, as obvious as it is, they might be above that. So instead, they went walking around the theme park until they got bored and went to the hotel in which Mama already checked-in.

And then, all of the sudden, it started raining! You see, when it rains, the outdoor theme park will be forced to close. And since the Bumper Boat is an outdoor ride, it had to be closed until the rain stops. Most of the people who queued for the ride left, but those who are patient decided to wait for the rain to stop. After 20 minutes of raining, Master decided to leave the queue and go to the hotel to rest.

We rested for a while in the hotel room and then went out for tea break. Then, we continued playing at the theme park.

The rain was over, and queues were starting to lengthen again. So, first, we rode the Tea Cup. Yes, we were that bored. We just rode that for fun, and I'd say, it made us all pretty dizzy! Then they rode the Spinner again. And after that, we went and check on the 4D Motion Master again, but we still have to queue for 1 and a half to 2 hours. So, Master brought us to visit the Ripley's Believe or Not museum. Paid RM22, and spent about 45 minutes in there. Kai Zhi and Kai Min didn't want to spend that money so they wasted their time walking around the Plaza.

Then, Master went to queue for the Bumper Car, Kai Zhi and Kai Min were once again, too lazy to queue. After about an hour of queueing, we finally got into the ride. And this time, Zoe and I went on the ride and it gave us all a massive headache!!! It was all banging and spinning!!! After that, Master went for the Euro Express. Whereas Kai Zhi and Kai Min waited at McDonald's, and in the end, they decided to go back to the hotel and rest. I mean... What's the point at all for them to come if they're all too lazy to even queue!!??

Then we headed back to the hotel and rested for a while, then we went out for dinner. We had dinner somewhere at Highlands Hotel, then we went back to First World Plaza, we checked and see if the line for the 4D Motion Master had reduced, but unfortunately, no. So in the end, we didn't ride the 4D Motion Master this visit, but hopefully, the apocalypse doesn't destroy Genting Highlands and we get to visit the place again.

We then call it a day and went back to the hotel. But first, because of Kai Zhi's desperate need to browse the internet, we decided to drop by at Starbucks! Unfortunately we weren't able to connect because there's so many smegging people using their WiFi. So we had to survive without internet. But Kai Zhi then gets mad because he can't browse the internet. Master and Kai Min bought some refreshments, and we hung out there for a while, then Kai Zhi gets mad because he's too lazy to go buy himself a refreshment.

We then went back to the hotel room and lights out. Unfortunately because of Master's cold, everyone wasn't able to sleep until like, about 3 a.m.. Bless you, Master.

Rainy day at Genting Highlands
The next morning, we woke up at about 9 a.m.. We then went for breakfast at First World Plaza, then back to the hotel room to pack up all our stuffs, and checked-out. We dropped by at Starbucks outside of Highlands Hotel, grab a few refreshments, and headed to the cable car station where we boarded a cable car and go back down. Halfway through, it started to rain, and water started to drop inside of the cable car, and then it got all misty when we went inside a cloud. When we got out of the cable car, there were like a hundred times more people queueing for the cable car!!! The line went all the way downstairs!!!! Yeap, this is how Genting Highlands is like during the holiday seasons, so plan carefully.

We took a bus back to Kuala Lumpur, to KL Central, and took the commuter train back home, and Dad picked us up at the station.
